Basic Intensive Training To Certification: The Steps To Choice Theory / Reality Therapy Certified

Step 1-Basic Intensive Training The Basic Intensive Training is the first step in the certification process and is taught by institute-approved faculty throughout the United States, Canada and other countries around the globe. Scheduled Basic Intensive Training in the Region If you don't see a Basic Intensive Training offered in your area, please request one by emailing office@glassermidwest.com. Step 2- Basic Practicum This is the time to put into practice the knowledge and skills you have learned in your Basic Intensive Training. Step 3-Advanced Intensive Training The third step in the process leading to Certification is the Advanced Intensive Training which brings participants to a higher level of experience and understanding of Dr. Glasser’s reality therapy, choice theory and lead-management. As a participant in the Advanced Intensive Training, you will begin to: • master the language of choice theory • relate your own personal and professional experiences to the theory • study the concepts in more depth to arrive at greater personal insight Register now in a location near you to gain more skill in using self-evaluation to improve all your relationships and bring about the changes you really want in your life. It is necessary that you work with a different instructor from that of your Basic Intensive Training so you may learn from a variety of teaching styles. Scheduled Advanced Intensive Training in the Region If you don't see an Advanced Intensive Training offered in your area, please request one by emailing office@glassermidwest.com Step 4 - Advanced Practicum The fourth step of your journey of The Institute’s certification process in reality therapy, choice theory and lead-management. You have gained more in-depth knowledge and refined your skills in your Advanced Intensive Training. The Advanced Practicum consists of 30 hours of instruction, 12 of which must be face-to-face directly with a Practicum Supervisor. • The perequisite is completion of an Advanced Intensive Week • Total of 27 hours • Fee is set by the Practicum Supervisor A listing of the practicum supervisors in your area was distributed during your Advanced Intensive week. Although the complete practicum may be done face-to-face, the 12-hour minimum requirement helps those who may not have a practicum supervisor in their immediate area. In addition, The Institute office has a list of Approved Faculty who can offer practica online. If you require assistance in choosing a Practicum Supervisor, you may contact The Institute at wginst@wglasser.com Step 5 - Become Reality Therapy Certified The final step in the process leading to Reality Therapy Certification is the Certification Week itself which brings participants from various professions together to demonstrate the skills learned throughout the previous steps. You will connect with people from other parts of the United States, Canada and perhaps from other countries. Together you share experiences, offer short presentations and learn new ways to implement reality therapy, choice theory and lead- management. You will be the recipient of a Certificate in Reality Therapy and receive the designation “Reality Therapy Certified.” Current list of Scheduled Certification Weeks
